Attachments in Mail

Does anybody know how to change the way attachments are handled in the Apple Mail application?

Currently, when i recieve an email with an attachment, all the attachments show up as icons on the bottom of the email message. Is there anyway to change this so that attachments are handled the same way they are in Microsoft Outlook, where the attachments show up as a list right below the To, From and Subject field, and right before the email body?

Also, when i am composing an email, and i try to add an attachment, the file shows up in the body of the email itself. I wish there was a way to stop this from happening.

Is anyone else facing this issue, and is there a way to fix it?

I don't think this is an issue, per se - it's how Apple chooses to handle attachments. Can I ask what it is about this setup that is a problem for you? Personally, I don't have any difficulty working with attachments in the native Mail app.

The issue i am facing with attachments showing up at the bottom of the email chain is as follows:

Sometimes i receive a very long email chain so it is a hassle to scroll to the bottom of the screen just to access the attachments.

In Microsoft Outlook, the attachments come in a nice list at the top of the screen.

If I know I'm looking for an attachment, I just jump to the bottom of the document. Think it's VO + Shift + End (or Vo + Shift + Fn + Right arrow)? Doesn't cause any more inconvenience than tabbing out of the body text and interacting with an eternal list of attachments...but that's just me. Different users have different preferences, of course. Anyway, I don't have experience with other mail apps, so all I can offer is how I personally use Mail.
