hi, was talking to a sighted friend at a dinner on the weekend. he has a apple 2 e. can it be bought back to life, what would he have to do. comes i think with the 5.5 inch floppy disks from the mid 80s. marvin.

I mean, it will either boot or it won't. If it won't, he'll have to find somebody who A. can figure out what's wrong with it and B. can fix it. There are groups that are into antique computers, I'd look for a local one of those, assuming he's got anything local. But I mean, it's hardware. It will either work, or it won't. If it won't, your solution is to fix what's broken and/or get new parts, if it needs them.

Both before and after going blind, as well as the Apple II. If it runs, which could be likely, and he can find an Applesoft Basic manual, it can be used without external software. If he can find software on floppies,, he won't have to write his own programs.
