Hello Apple Vis,
I'm curious to know if this is something I may have done by mistake, or if this is a change across the board.
I use Safari on Mac OS, and will usually use google as my search engine of choice.
I've noticed that there's a change in the results when they pop up. Like before you'd hear voiceover read heading level 3, and then the name of the heading or that result. nOw it reads the name, the URL, and then the heading and afterwards visited if you've been their before.
I wasn't sure if this was something I mistakenly changed, or if it's a new thing. If it's a thing I changed. Does anyone know how to switch it back?

Verbosity level, perhaps?
I was wondering about this, too. Changing verbosity level from low to medium or high seems to toggle the heading level announcement on my mid-2013 MBA running 10.14..
Doesn't look like it on my computer. At least
I tried what you suggested. I'm guessing it must be a software thing in updates. Switching the verbosity to medium seems to not change much.
Then again I'm using a 2015 MBP.

The weird part
What's weird about it is that on google search results. It's when it shows up quite a lot, but something like navigating the forums on Apple Vis doesn't show this happening.
I'll have to search around.

You are not alone here.
Well, Google changed some things, so it's not a VoiceOver issue. I also experienced problems trying to select, copy and paste some elements after the afore mentioned heading. Sometimes I don't need to get to the websites themselves, but want some details about them I need. I did a lot of data entry and analysis recently and it's annoying as hell.
Very Annoying indeed.
It's enough to throw me off. I mean I go on other sites, and I can navigate and hear the heading level number first and then the title, but on google it's like it's jumping to a link as if you were on a different page.
I ditched Google
I ditched Google for a different search engine. I use one called DuckDuckGo now that was recommended to me by a user on this website (sadly I can't remember who it was to thank the). I liked it so much on my iPhone I have since gone and changed it to my default search engine on all of my browsers. Just something to consider if Google is annoying you; perhaps a different search engine might work better.
