I suggest you read this before deciding to get anti-virus software for the Mac. For most people, there's really no point, unlike on Windows, where it is pretty much a requirement.
I have been a Mac user for nearly 30 years, and I have had no problems whatsoever runnning my Macs withouth anti-virus software. It's just not something the average Mac user needs.

Ise clamxav. It's accessible, and best of all free. I use this to scan every sunday and when I feel I need to. You can do a lot with it.
I did a podcast on the software. I did mysspeak the name of the app but i later correct it.
