To add contacts to a group using the Contacts app on macOS:

  1. If the group has not yet been created, choose File > new group (or press Command-Shift-N) and enter a name for the group.
  2. Focus on an existing group in the "Group list" table, select one or more contacts from the "contact list" table, and choose Edit > Copy (or press Command-C).
  3. Focus on the group you want to add the contacts to in the "Group list" table and choose Edit > Paste (or press Command-V).

More detailed information on how to use the Contacts app in macOS can be found in this guide.

SO, i read the tutorial you sent, very very helpful, thanks so much , only 2 questions here:
1- how can i remove a contact from a group without removing it from all my contacts list?
2- is there a way to delete a group without deleting all the contacts that are inside?

  1. To remove a contact from a group without removing it entirely, focus on the group in the "Group list" table, focus on the contact you want to remove from that group, press the Delete key, and in the dialog that appears, click "remove from group."
  2. To delete a group without deleting the contacts in that group, focus on the group in the "Group list" table and press the Delete key.
