Hello,
Does anyone know of any DJ mixing software that will work with VoiceOver and the Mixtrack Pro? I have tried the demo versions of Serato and Traktor Pro 2, but neither of these read out anything in the window, meaning I can't select any tracks.
Any recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks,
Callum.

Accessible DJ software
Hi... As far as I'm aware the only software for Mac that is accessible with voice over is Algoriddim's DJAY PRO for Mac - https://www.algoriddim.com/djay-mac
I use this with both a Pioneer and Reloop controller. It's dead easy to manually map midi settings and so you should find your controller works without issue.
The decks and some portions of the screen aren't read out but with keyboard shortcuts and your controller it should be easy to navigate the library and other settings as they are all read out without issue...
Drop me a message if you want any more info, I use this professionally every weekend so best of luck.
I also use that app as well,
I also use that app as well, actually not now. I use radio logic to do my streaming and djay work, but it still works.
Thank you
Hi,
Thanks for the recommendation. I just downloaded Djay Pro demo version and it works. I'll try it properly with my controller when I have more time but for now it already works much better than the others I've tried!
Thanks again.
a good controller
Hi,
Can someone give me a good recommendation for a controller. Not so high priced.
What are the possibilities when you want to mix music as a blind person? Can you use all the features of the software?

Hi,
The controller I have is the Mixtrack Pro II from Numark. More info on that here:
http://www.numark.com/product/mixtrack-pro-ii
It comes with Serato software but this isn't accessible at all, so I recommend using djay pro, which someone else already posted a link to.
I only use this every now and again and am still getting the hang of it, so someone who uses it more often or even professionally would be better off giving you more information on what you can do as a blind person and what is and isn't accessible.
Hope this helps a bit.
Pioneer DDJ-SX2 Controller
I've detailed another great controller over in another very similar thread. I wanted to make sure those who missed it get a chance to read about the Pioneer DDJ-SX2. I also include instructions on how to properly configure VOiceOver for use with DJ controllers without the need for any additional software, such as SoundFlower.

DDJ 1000
Hello folks:
I use DDJ 1000 from Pioneer and it's really cool.
there is no need for configuration of Voice Over at all.
this nice controller have a mixer integrated and you just switch the line 3 or 4 to the line position and go.
I use a simple jack to RCA cable to send voice over from my laptop to the line 4 of the controller.
