For the longest Time I have been searching for a free and open source AI powered tool which can allow us to record Zoom meetings, Google Meet, Microsoft teams meetings, and any other search online meeting on the Mac
A few days ago I Found an option called Meetily kuch seems to tick all of the boxes
While it is relatively lightweight app, somehow I don’t find that it plays nice with VoiceOver
So, I fired up Claude code, pointed it to the GitHub repository for Meetily , and built a voice friendly companion tool that sits on top of this application
Essentially the companion app which I have created just sits on your menu bar, and allows you to start and stop recording, and view the current as well as past meeting transcripts. And of course working perfectly with VoiceOver
I will soon Bhi sharing the GitHub link for my companion tool in a few days, but in the meanwhile I thought I would ask the community if there was anything that they would like me to build in to the tool from a VoiceOver perspective
And yes, the companion app which I am building will of course be completely free and open source, just like the application it sits on top of
