Hi guys.
Apologies if this has been asked before. But I’m looking for an accessible app for basic audio editing.
I’m trying to convert a bunch of old cassettes to a digital format so I need to be able to record the music , split into tracks, remove background noice and export into wav or mp3 .
I don’t need to do any music production just mainly the stuff I’ve listed above.
I know that audacity can do all this. But the screen reader version doesn’t work well in the later versions of Mac OS and the latest version doesn’t seem to be all that accessible with voiceover though to be fare they do state that this is the case..
I don’t mind paying a little just so long as it can do what I’m looking for though a trial period would be helpful.
Thanks for reading
Louise .

I’d recommend Amadeus Pro. It’s pretty straight forward to use. Jonathan Mozen also has a decent book on how to use it.

Oh great! where can I get Jonathan Mozen's book? A quick Google search hasn't thrown it up. Jonathan, if you're part of this forum please can i buy a copy? :-)

Never have read the book, just some basic info I found online, and absolutely love this app. I feel like I do better work now on the mac than I can do on Windows. If you want the book, by all means go for it, but I didn't find it necessary. I think they also have a lite version that is either free or lower cost, but I'm not sure what is missing from it.

qPete Lane over at blindabilities did a real great job explaining amadaeus in his "how to make a podcast" series.

Although it's geared towards, well, making a podcast, he does explain a good deal of the basics of amadaeus.
