Accessibility of Microsoft Word on Mac

I want to know if someone here know how to use MS Word with Voiceover. For several years I have tried it without any success. I don't know if the accessibility of it is different to what I normally use on other apps, or if it is just unaccessible. For reading documents it is excellent, and even better than Pages because it will go from one page to the next one without stopping like in Pages. But I haven't found how to create a document on Word. I can type but I can't get feedback of what I'm typing even for correcting typos.

Please just limit the answers to the question about using Word. I know about Pages, Google Docs, etc, and about creating in Pages and saving in Word format, or about copying the text from Pages to Word. My concern is with Microsoft and the accessibility of MS Word on the Mac. Microsoft like to post a lot of messages about their accessibility, and I can't believe that Word is as bad as I think, and want to know if I'm just not doing it well.

Thanks in advance.

Hey. Yes, the word is very accessible with the Voice-over. Just you have to use the VO commands like jump to(Vo option J) etc besides those, just use voice over normally like you use on Mac. I know I explained the accessibility of word pretty badly, but it is usable if you know how to use it..

The only view that works properly with VO is the print view. Perhaps that is where your problem is?

Thanks for the tip. I change to view to Print Layout, and now it seems that I can use VO with MS Word. I will be playing with it tomorrow.

Microsoft Word seems very accessible but Ä°n big documents, Voiceover always says Microsoft Word is not responding and this is not new, I have been encountering this situation in years unfortunately. I tried using word in intel Macs and M1 Macs, the result was and is same. Ä°s there a way to fix this?
