YouTube misbehaving again

As of the most recent automatic update to the YouTube iOS app, an annoying VoiceOver bug has returned. In the home tab, the tab furthest to the left at the bottom of the app, a single item in the feed shows up to VoiceOver as three elements -- the length of the video, the title of the video and the info about the channel name, etc. As someone who likes to casually flick through these reccommendations, this is incredibly irritating since I have to flick three times just to advance to the next item in the list. If I do it by touch and just drag my finger to find the next item, it's still difficult because it seems there is lots of dead space on the screen where VoiceOver just makes that clunking sound. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app but to no avail. Anyone else running into this?

I am having the same problem with Youtube. I will report it to theGoogle accessibility team, who are usually very good at fixing bugs.

I have just been using the Youtube app and it has already been fixed. it no longer displays the weird behavior where the various bits of information are displayed in 3 different elements.. they were very quick to fix the bug.

Yep, I was just about to post the same thing. Looks like it has been fixed already! Thanks to anyone else who reported the issue to Apple and Google. Let’s hope it stays unbroken :)

All of youtube is broken for me. I can't play pause or scroll through my library or home tab whether it be videos, playlists, or channels.

Hi Chris. I am not experiencing the issues you described. You might want to submit feedback using the YouTube app. I find that Google is pretty responsive to accessibility bug reports. You may also want to consider starting a new thread as it sounds like what you are describing could be unrelated to the issue I posted here, which has since been resolved. Keep us posted.

This is infuriating and bizarre but the issue with YouTube items in the recommendations feed being broken up into multiple elements is happening again, seemingly out of nowhere. Why would something seem to work for a week and then break again all of a sudden? Is anyone else experiencing this?
