X/ Twitter is unusable now

Hey everyone,

I’ve been having a really tough time with Twitter lately, and I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. The homepage timeline has become a nightmare for those of us using voiceover. Instead of being able to read through the posts like before, now I have to double-tap on each post just to hear the content. It’s super annoying and makes using Twitter way harder.

And good luck trying to report this to Twitter – it’s like hitting a brick wall. There’s no easy way to get in touch with someone who can actually help with accessibility issues.

Anyone else dealing with this? Any tips or workarounds would be really appreciated. Let’s try to get Twitter to fix this mess!

Hi, folks. This issue is now fixed. Remember to follow XEng and tag them with these kinds of things. Be kind and assume they aim to please, because they have proven that they do. Musk is so far up the latter that he couldn't know about such minutia, but individuals like Ilnar Aliullov of the engineering team do know and care. If you're still having the problem and want to update your X app, go to the update area in the App Store, make sure you're all the way at the top of that screen, and do a three-finger swipe down. That will refresh and check for new updates. These issues can be annoying and frustrating, but clearly a bit of kindness and coordinated effort helps. Enjoy.

Have updated X/Twitter some days ago, and when I opened the app, I thought the video player issue was fixed because I saw on my first try the old video view, but when I tried again, the bug was present again.
I updated also today, but bug still existing.
Can someone reproduce it?

It might be because I have a different phone or haven't updated my OS, but I can click the close button at the top left corner of a video by exploring the screen with my finger or by swiping to it. Try tagging @xeng. A polite exchange was helpful for an issue back in the day that was far bigger.

I explore and swipe so much as possible, but nothing helps. Havn't also updated to the newest IOS and I'm using like sometimes mentioned my old 12 Pro, but 17 Pro, is preordered. Maybe I'll more luck with the new phone model.
Anyways, I want to thank everyone, which was giving me great advices and had big patience with me.
Will try to contact them, hope that'll understand what the issue is.
