Will you buy an iPhone 6s if you have an iPhone 6 for 9 months

The only thing that might tempt me to buy a 6S would be if 3D touch added some useful new accessibility features. I haven't read anything yet that explains its impact on accessibility, so I'll wait to read the user guide and maybe play with one in the Apple Store.

Hi! I personally have no plans to replace my iPhone 6 with a 6S. Like the previous poster, I have no idea whether the new 3D Touch will enhance accessibility at all. Even if it does, I feel it's too soon to trade in my iphone 6 after less than a year of use, so I'll discover the delights of 3D Touch and other new features whenever I replace my iphone 6, which won't be for at least another year.

no way. new models have smaller battery capacities and the other things like 3d touch and better camera are useless. e.g better cam will make no difference to ocr etc there comes a point where apps like knfb reader could go so far as to take full advantage of available cam pixels to deliver speedy accurate ocr results. anything higher would have the reverse effect.

I would not rush to get IPhone 6s right now.

Perhaps you and I read different things, because everything I have read says how much better the battery is supposed to be with the 6S. Regardless, I am upgrading. To clarify, I do not have an iPhone 6, but I am upgrading because my plan allows for it. I do not see paying Apple over 30 U.S. dollars a month just to have the biggest and best iPhone every year, but I consider myself fortunate to be eligible for upgrades on the years when the S models come out, as those seem to have the most new features. There are, luckily, also two things I am very thankful about in the new upcoming software. Thankfully, the new Proactive features can be disabled. I do not want my phone thinking, or trying to think, for me. Also, thank goodness you can still disable "hey Siri". I dislike the idea that your phone is always listening to what is being said, as crazy as that may sound. And before you say that doesn't happen, think about this. How else does it recognize when you say "hey siri."

I would like to upgrade, however, it all depends on my carrier and how much it would cost to upgrade from the 6. I have T-Mobile, so I'm sure something could work out. Mainly reason I try to upgrade every year is because of how sluggish VoiceOver starts to get year after year on older devices. Hopefully that's not the case with the iPhone 6 running iOS 9, since I like to have my devices as responsive as possible without any crashes.

I certainly don't plan to upgrade anytime soon. I've not had my iPhone 6 all that long, so it would probably be an expensive upgrade for me. Plus, it's too early to tell what impact the new features of the 6S will have on accessibility. I'm thinking iOS 9 has more potential for benefits than a hardware upgrade. I'll reevaluate a hardware upgrade next year.

I'll be very interested to see how iOS9 will work. Apparently, the download is supposed to be about a third the size of iOS8, so I wonder how that will affect the overall operating system performance.

The way I look at is this. I run my phone in to the ground, so for me the answer would have to be no.

In the past I did get 4, 4s, 5, 5s and 6 but this time I want to wait for the new feature of force touch to be better. I will hold for iPhone 7 for next September. I am happy with my 6 at this time.

Personally, I do not purchase the S models. My carrier and I agreed I will only purchase the non S models at subsidized prices. So my next phone will be the iPhone 7 which I’m sure will be an improved version of the iPhone 6S.

"At Apple’s ‘Hey Siri’ event saw the launch of the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. While Cook announced most of the features of the phone, one critical element was left out of the announcements.

Battery capacity.

According to a report in MacRumors, the video where Apple Chief of Design Jony Ive is explaining the 3D Touch feature, in one frame, you can view the battery capacity in the blown out view of the

iPhone 6S. The phone has a 1715mAh battery pack which is lower than the 1810mAh battery pack we had seen on the iPhone 6.

Similarly, MacRumors has pointed out that the iPhone 6S Plus comes with a 2750mAh battery capacity as opposed to 2910mAh battery that was seen on the iPhone 6 Plus.

24-hour battery life. Apple claims that it will incorporate battery-saving features on iOS 9, the newest version of iOS with which the new phones are expected to ship.

iOS 9 is expected to release on September 16 and claims to have battery saving feature for all supporting iPhones.

One certainly needs to takes Apple’s claims with a pinch of salt as the new phones come with a completely new touch interface, higher megapixel camera with features such as 4K video recording and

Live Photos, which can be potential battery hogs. We will only find out the true battery life once the phones are out."

I did pre-order an iPhone 6SPlus 128 gig for delivery on 09/25-very excited!!!

According to information I've read on ARS Technica and Engadget, the A9 chip is supposed to have been more power efficient than the one on the 6 so that even with the reduced battery capacity, we shouldn't see a diminution in battery life.

It didn't get my attention that much to upgrade. I'll wait for the 7. Its the apple tv I want.
