Where am I on iPhone 6

Hello,

I recently got my iPhone 6. A feature I use often is asking Siri “where am I” and I would get an answer with an exact address or a name of a business I am in. With the 6. I would get an address close by. I tried my wife’s iPhone 6 Plus and it too gave me the wrong address. Both are running IOS 8.1.1 with cellular, blue tooth and wifi running. I tried it on my Ipad and an iPhone 5 and it gave me the exact address. The iPad and iPhone 5 are running 8.1.1 with cellular, blue tooth and wifi.

I was wondering if anyone else has this issue. If it was fixed. What was the solution?

Thanks a bunch for your help.

Hi,

I only have an iPhone5, so have no direct experience to draw on, but can't help wondering whether it is to do with your Privacy and Location Service Settings. Have you tried comparing the Privacy Settings between the Devices that work as expected and those that don't?

Thanks for the suggestion.

I checked the settings before posting in the forums. They were identical. It bothered me because it also provided the wrong address when I used find my iPhone app.

I found the answer but it’s weird. On the 5 and iPad, map was not allowed access and it worked fine. On the 6. I allowed maps access and it finally started giving me correct addresses.

So if Siri provides you with wrong addresses, check your map settings.

Thanks and HTH.

I live in an apartment complex and just tried this and Siri gave me the address for the rental office and not my exact location. I have a 5s running 8.1.1
