I'm a big fan of Liverpool FC and use the This is Anfield app every day. It's not great for live scores or anything outside the football club, but it's good really nice content that changes a lot and is a really reliable way to get news. And it's really accessible unlike most of the others. Obviously a little niche but I know there's at least one other LFC fan on here.
Otherwise I tend to use the BBC Sport app but it's basically their web site in an app and whilst it has an absolute ton of content it's all a bit much when you just want the scores.
The only app I've found that supports the watch is One Football which seems OK but I need to try it again. I've filed it in an "only on the watch" folder in my brain but it is a full iphone app and I think it might be OK. I'll try to remembner to use it when a game is on and will report back.
Then there's the Apple Sports app which might prove good in a couple of versions time.
But I'll look into your suggestions too, so thanks for them.
I read sport updates and news with the NFB news app. For example, AP Sports headlines It's not up the minute, but the rest I get from the XM radio app, which is not free.
