A website I regularly visit has changed some things recently, and now when I try to double tap on the tick box to tick it, voice-over continues to say unticked, basically doesn’t work, where as before it did .
I’ve reached out to the owners of the website and they seem to be interested in solving the problem, however, i’m not really sure what causes voice-over to do this.
Does anyone else have any ideas?

Have you tried swiping up and down?
Sometimes you can tick boxes and such with extra actions.
Thanks for the suggestion but
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work in this case.
I've Noticed This Sometimes
Subject line pretty much sums it up. For whatever reason, the tab key seems to work better sometimes for this. I've noticed this particularly with Google's new CAPTCHA, where it asks the user to tick a box if they're not a robot. I think this has to do with the way in which some of these things are coded. Beyond that I can't help you much, but I'd say to try the tab key on the Mac and see if that makes a difference. I don't know about iOS though, since I only recently acquired my iPhone and haven't used it that much yet.
Same problem
I have had same problems sometimes. It’s so annoying.
what about double-tapping and holding
Sometimes, I can get Vo. to respond if I double tap and hold.
