A. Navigation

You no longer have to use multiple navigation apps to get to your destination. WeWALK offers multiple features to simplify your navigation experience including clock directions, low vision friendly maps, and detailed guided navigation for people who are blind or visually impaired. Simply search for a location or address and with a simple tap of a button, you’ll be on your way to your destination with WeWALK’s turn-by-turn navigation. The WeWALK app allows you to focus your attention on the road without constantly having to check your phone to find out if you’re going in the correct direction.

B. What’s Around Me and Exploration

There have probably been instances when you were walking down the street and wondered about all the places that you’ve been passing by. Wonder no more with WeWALK’s new Exploration mode, which acts as your own personal tour guide by announcing nearby points of interest and their clock direction so that you can discover new places around you. You can even explore without moving at all. Use the "What's around me?" feature in the menu options to hear a list of nearby points of interest around you such as restaurants, shops, entertainment, and more.

C. Public Transport

WeWALK helps you freely explore with its public transport service that’s available in more than 1500 cities across the world. Use the app to learn about nearby public transport stops and timetables so that you can get around town like a true local.

D. Accessible Interface

The WeWALK interface is designed to be fully compatible with screen readers. In addition, the screens have been optimized for people with low vision through adjustable colour options and text sizes.

E. Connection with WeWALK Smart Cane

We understand that walking while managing a white cane in one hand and a phone in the other can be quite challenging. Challenge accepted! The WeWALK app connects with the WeWALK smart cane, allowing you to conveniently control various operations such as navigation via the smart cane. This enables you to use the WeWALK app’s features with the convenience of being able to leave your phone in your pocket. In addition, we offer a more precise navigation experience thanks to the WeWALK smart cane’s built-in ultrasonic sensors. Last but certainly not least, the smart cane has a useful obstacle detection feature that can assist you with identifying upcoming obstacles above chest level, providing a safer walking experience.

F. Voice control

It can be challenging to start navigating, searching for something or looking around while walking. With the WeWALK voice assistant, we want you to control all the features of WeWALK with voice. We are developing this feature, which we currently offer as beta, day by day. Microsoft's artificial intelligence program helps us improve this feature. You may try using voice commands while walking on the road. Note: You can use many of these features on the WeWALK app without the WeWALK smart cane. However, with the WeWALK smart cane, you’ll be able to experience more precise guidance with its built-in compass and obstacle detection capabilities. So what are you waiting for? Hello there! This is a great question and we’d be happy to answer that for you. These are just some of the items that set us apart from our competitors: - The WeWALK app is free for both iOS and Android devices. We don’t have any additional costs for any of our features and we’re constantly adding new exciting features to better our app. - The WeWALK app can be used with our WeWALK Smart Cane for a hands-free navigation experience. In addition to all the benefits that our mobile app provides, the WeWALK smart cane also has an ultrasonic sensor to help users detect obstacles above chest level so that they can safely travel to wherever they need to be. - The WeWALK app contains specially designed, low-vision friendly maps and visual settings that can be adjusted for low-vision users. - Our app is considered a Swiss Army Knife of travel apps for people who are blind or visually impaired. It combines an abundance of helpful features such as public transit monitoring, points of interest searchability, and turn-by-turn navigation using WeWALK’s customized navigation which does not require 3rd party map services to use. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our team at info@wewalk.io. Thanks so much!
