This is a weird and quite possibly unique issue

Hi guys,

Ok as of iOS16.3.1 the native weather app has gone very odd. I can no longer flick through the screen for hourly temps. Nor to check the next 10 days as there is simply nothing there. Just says toolbar map or something. But what makes this even more strange is it says "no internet connection wifi image off" at the top of the screen. Even though the internet is on and a good signal is in place. Checked with a sighted person and when VO is off the app looks and acts perfectly normal. So for the firsttime since 16.1 I updated to 16.4 beta to see if this solved the issue. It hasn't. Don't suppose anyone else has ever seen anything like it? Closing the app resetting the phone and turning images/screen recognition on and off didn't help. So no idea what can be going on or if it will ever bbe fixed. Will now report to apple via feedback but if it is only me I'm not hopeful.

I know that this issue has been spotted and reported in the iOS 16.4 beta, but I hadn't realized that it is also present in the iOS 16.3.1 public release.

As always, the more reports Apple receives about a particular issue, the better the chances of it being addressed. So, I encourage anyone else who is experiencing this issue to also report it to Apple's accessibility team at accessibility@apple.com

I am operating an iPhone 13 mini running OS 16.3.1
And I use the Weather app regularly as I am currently expecting a snow storm sometime tonight into tomorrow.
The only issue I find with it is if there is a storm coming it gives me updates every minute and I have to focus further down on the screen in order to find the hourly update.

Ok I thought it was 16.3.1 and deffo in 16.4 but I had another annoying issue which resolved in 16.4 and now I'm not totally sure that the two releases worked in the same way. Almost sure I was still on 16.3.1 when I spotted this but could be just when I updated.

Hi! After reading this thread, I opened the native IOS Weather app myself, on my iPhone SE 2020 running IOS 16.3.1, to check how the app was behaving: I had the same issue described above to begin with, namely only seeing "Show map" and the location chooser on my screen. For a while that didn't change, then suddenly the forecast showed up in the normal way. It seems that it takes a while for the forecast screen to update, for me anyway, but I don't know why that is the case.
