webpage elements not behaving

iOS and iPadOS

I am running the latest iOS update on an iPhone 11. I am sorry I ever bought the 11, but that’s another subject. I have found two problems. When I am trying to fill out a form on the website, more and more frequently, I cannot use the on screen keyboard. I have to use my Bluetooth keyboard. Also, on a particular website, there is a checkbox that needs to be checked before, I can move on. It absolutely refuses to check. That one may have something to do with that particular website, because I don’t recall it happening anywhere else. However, is this something that other people have run into.

I have never been able to fill out forms in web pages using iOS Safari, and I've tried both onscreen and Bluetooth keyboards. I'd love it if some guru would post a guide. Good luck.

Filling out web forms on iOS has never been a great experience for me either, which is why I generally prefer to use my Mac for this task whenever possible.

When I do need to fill a web form on iOS, I tend to get the best results by swiping left and right rather than exploring by touch, as I find it's easier to become disoriented on complex webpages when exploring by touch. Also, while this is very website-dependent, I've had success double-tapping the "Done" button above the keyboard before moving to and double-tapping the next field. This way, I know that VoiceOver isn't stuck in a field that I've already filled, and if the keyboard appears again, it's most likely for the field I purposely activated.
