Hello everyone, a month ago I reported on the site that the notifications of the Weather Gods app are not working. The developer, Scott, replied that this was a "grandfathering problem". Are there any updates? Will notifications work again soon or not?
The situation is this: by opening Weather gods and going to Settings then Notifications, the Pause all notifications toggle is active and is dimmed and the text "Notifications are paused. Premium upgrade required" appears below. Is there any way to solve the problem or should we just wait? Is it possible to downgrade to a previous version without this problem? I'm running the version 3.5.1 on an iPhone XR with iOS 15.3 19D50. Cheers.

notifications are working for me
They are working for me.

Are you using the latest version, 3.5.1?
Notifications are working…
Notifications are working for me, except for one I recently activated a few days ago.
Reinstalling
I've tried deleting the app and then reinstalling it with no results. I don't know what can be the problem, since in some cases they work and in other cases don't. The plan is Premium though, because I bought the app years ago. Even restoring purchases does nothing.
Disabling and re-enabling
Hi! When I updated to Weather Gods version 3,5,1 my notifications didn't come back at first, even though the app said they were re-activated. Disabling then re-enabling the notifications brought them back, but I don't know if this can be done if they are still paused.
Took the suggestion out of my fingers
I was just about to suggest restoring, as i noticed a week or so maybe, the notifications not working. I haven't done a thing. i kind of missed the three A.M. ones so I'm not sure. I have the latest version. Maybe it's another while until an update fixes this issue.
Notifications paused
No, I can't re-enable them, the switch is dimmed. I think is a device-based-problem.
A possible solution
A possible solution could be downgrading Weather Gods to a version prior than 3.5, but I don't know if on iOS can be done easily.
Delete
Delete app, reinstall from store, after installing, go to setting, account, and restore plan. Check notification to see if it is on on the app and iOS setting. Is working for me. No issues.
Re: delete
I've already done it, no result. I've restore purchased, the plan is Premium but notifications are paused and the switch to enable is dimmed and the text says "Notifications are paused. Premium upgrade required".

Notification Issues
Hi Everybody,
There is still an issue with grandfathering unfortunately.
I am in the middle of stage 1 of moving our notification servers from IBM to Amazon so can't put out a fix at the moment.
However, for anybody who is having the problem, I can grant a lifetime premium membership. Just send me an email and I can resolve.
It's important that once the lifetime premium is granted that the app is not uninstalled, otherwise the link is broken.
If you do uninstall, restore from backup etc, then please send me another email and I can repeat the process.
Apologies that this is taking longer than expected.
Scott
