Weather Gods 4.3.0 released

Hi

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Just a quick note to say that 4.3.0 is now on the App Store and the main focus has been on fixing compatibility issues for iOS17 and watchOS10.

This means that all the small Home Screen widgets are Standby optimised and the modular style watch complications work with the new watchOS10 widget stack.

I also fixed lots of small bugs and layout issues with the widgets, complications and watch app.

There is a new widget which I have called the Weather Icon widget, it's a simple, large weather icon with the temperature and an alert indicator. The main motivation for this was something that could easily be read when in StandBy at night time. It's fully accessible and has the same information as the Home Screen forecast widget.

The next update will be a small bug fix release and then I'm back on lightning and storm threat notifications. I had made good progress on these but had to park when I found the issues with iOS17 and watchOS10.

Many thanks to my beta testers and translators for helping get this release across the line.

Scott

Great app. People get it.

I've checked twice, about a couple of hours apart and it's not there. It makes no sense at all to me. If it's been updated, why am I not seeing it?

Hi Jo, I can see it in the UK App Store, but interestingly its my old screen shots.

Are you running iOS 16 or above?

It's definitely there on the UK App Store, I don't have access to other app stores.

I did check the US App Store using a web browser and it's there to.

Not sure why it isn't showing up for your device.

Does this app has a free version?

Hi, yes the app is free to use and gives you a very usable weather app.

If you want more stuff like storm threats, Apple Watch, widgets, weather alert notifications etc then there are a couple of subscriptions.

It is an excellent weather app. The subscription is worth it.
