Hi,
Just dropping by to say Weather Gods 4.0.0 was released last week.
The main update is Lock Screen widgets including a dedicated VoiceOver widget that reads out the weather based on priority.
For example, heavy rain would be read out before low UV. However, if it was a really sunny day and the UV was high then this is read first.
For those on the Apple Watch with the smart VoiceOver widget - it's the same implementation.
There are other Lock Screen widgets as well, all of them fully accessible.
Our widgets can be customised for your current location or a favourite location, and you can have multiple widgets with different locations.
The Home Screen widgets also got a bit of an update in this release and are smarter when used with VoiceOver.
Finally, thank you to our beta testers and translators who helped get this release over the line.
Hope you're all having a great Sunday.
Scott

WG
Once again great job. I need to find a podcast on adding widgets in the home screen. Using 13 pro that I got in Nov.
awesome app
WG is the best weather app hands down. Thank you for your commitment to accessibility!

question about weather alerts in weather gods
Hi,
I have the paid version of weather gods and have the latest update. Yesterday evening a severe thunderstorm came through with hail and high winds, but although the alert was in the app itself I never got a notification of the storm. I'm pretty sure that I used to get notifications of these alerts so what should I check in the wg app to see why they might not have worked yesterday?
Also, I thought I read in the what's new section for the latest update that wg would now show how much rain fell over a certain period of time, if I'm not mistaken about this where do I find that using voiceover?
Thanks.
weather alerts
Hi Troy,
Notifications can be tricky - there are a number of settings that might be impacting why you didn't get the alerts.
If you want to send me a feedback email from within the app (under settings) then this includes debug information about notification settings and I might be able to help.
Regarding the rainfall amount and snow amounts. If you swipe to the water or ice god then Voiceover will read out the amounts for the hour or the day.
will do
Thanks Scott, I will send you a note from within the app now.
