Hi All,

We have just released our 1.8.4 update.

This is just a small update with the following changes:

1. Improvements to the fog notification. Instead of just knowing it's foggy, we will also let you know if there is freezing fog, drizzly fog etc, However, plain old fog is still reported as 'Foggy'.
2. Fixed a bug where sleet or hail wasn't showing on the Apple Watch complication.
3. Greek localisation updates for notifications
4. We have employed (again) a different Japanese translator as it seemed our first translation wasn't particularly good. I am assured that this translation is much better. If anyone speaks Japanese and would like to feedback then we would love to hear from you please.

I have also pushed a fix to our servers for summary notifications. There was a bug whereby the in the morning notifications would sometimes be missing the today entry and just show the summary for tonight. I think it is related to time zones.

If anyone is still having a problem (or any problem) with the summary notifications then please let us know.

The next update will provide the foundations for severe weather alerts, although we are still some way from going live with them!

We hope you enjoy the update.
Scott

Was wondering if a swedish translation was in the works? I'm trying to convert my non-work life to swedish, and this includes my phone language and all the apps I use. Most of it is done, but there are a few apps where it's not available, and this is one of them. I love this app, so hoping...

Hi techluver,

No current plans for Swedish - due to translation costs. However, if you know of anyone who can offer a free translation then we would be more than happy to add it to the app.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. The only reason I suspected a swedish translation would be in the works was because norwegian was already an option :). I'm so curious, what is the normal translation cost for an app like this?

Subject line says it all. I also checked in my Settings app under Software Updates, but it isn't there either. I was automatically updated to version 1.8.3 just minutes after it was rolled out, and I am still on that version. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work.

Cliff on AppleVis very kindly provided the Norwegian translation. I don't know how good his Swedish is :)

Translation costs vary - Japanese first time around was $500 and the rework with a new translator was $250.

Italian, French and Spanish were $100 each because the person who translated was a language student.

Greek, German, Norwegian and Chinese have been provided free of charge by AppleVis users - for which we are very grateful.

Hmmm, just checked our stats, 9% adoption, so it does appear to be a slow rollout. Unfortunately, it is out of our control and down to the Apple servers.

Thank you for explaining this. I may be able to convince someone I know to help me out. :) I'll get back to you.

Maybe in the future to add flood warning.

Hi Holger,

I hope to have flood warnings as part of the severe weather alerts I am currently working on.

Although I've been a fan of Weather Gods for a long while, since it's original release and have kept it on my phone always, I decided to add it to my Series 4 Apple Watch and added it as a complication.

I do admit it's nice to have more details on the complication then the little details you had with the iOS weather app. Although I did have one question though.

I currently have Weather Gods as a complication on my Minnie watch face, the large one at the bottomn, and the Infograph watch face in the bottom Sub Dial complication.

I am not sure if I remember this correctly, but was there a way to configure these large complication to only have certain weather information displayed instead of everything that is currently being read?

I've taken a look in the Watch app, under Weather Gods and find it a little overwhelming, not knowing where to start on this screen and what each settings do.

Is there information somewhere online that goes through this screen, explaining what each settings do exactly?

Can't seem to find any podcast or help guides explaining this part of the application.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Right now for me if I change faces, I only get current temp and feels. However in Mickey Mouse I get what I want, Wind, location and so. I change faces but just current temp and feels. I hope the new update fixes this. I only have one app that focus on weather and that is WG.

The next release (2.1) - I hope to add the ability to configure the information displayed for those complications where it reads out everything.

I will also try and move each watch face type to its own screen. The UI for configuring this stuff from Apple is a bit basic unfortunately.

Release 2.0 which has severe weather alerts and the watch bug fixes has been submitted to Apple yesterday. Now, we just have to wait for Apple.

Ah, so that means, with the current version, there is no way of customizing what is displayed on the complication?

That would explain why I couldn't find anything online to help with this.

I do like the complication versus the stock weather app, definitely a lot more information being displayed. Look forward to v2.

I did otice on the InfoGraph watch face, the way the complication is displayed is different on the top SubDial versus the bottom SubDial. The Current Temperature and Feels Like Temperature are read differently.

On the top sub dial, VoiceOver reads it as "6/0" while on the bottom, its read as "6 degrees, feels like 0 degrees".

It's not just the Weather Gods app either, the Activity complication is read differently on the top sub dial versus the bottom sub dial.

Anyways, thanks again for the hard work, it's greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the info on the top sub dial. Unfortunately I don't have the series 4 (still on a 2), so I'm having to use the simulator which is not great.

I have raised a ticket in our issue tracking system and will investigate for 2.1
