VoiceOver problems in Music app when playing audiobooks in iOS 7.0.6

I noticed this morning when playing an audiobook that I synced to my iPod Touch 5th generation that a couple of unlabled buttons had appeared near the previous track and next track buttons. Also, no matter what speed I toggle the playback speed button to, VoiceOver says that the speed is set to normal even if it's not. The unlabeled buttons appear to go backward and forward a fiew seconds within the book, but I'm not sure what to label them. Also, has anyone else noticed the problem with the playback speed button?

Both of these were present in previous IOS builds. I labeled the buttons rewind and forward, as that is what they do. However, I never use them. The playback speed thing is still a mystery to me, but it doesn't really matter to actually using the control, so I ignore it.

I have also noticed this on my iPhone 5s, but it doesn't actually bother me. What does bother me is that on my girlfriend's 5s the playback position isn't kept when she locks her phone. It will skip and move seemingly randomly when she starts the book again. My phone does not do this, so it is a mystery to me how this can be different on two otherwise almost identical phones. Hope someone can help with this. BTW, sorry if I'm off topic.

Hi, I'm just curious, does this happen in say, Bard Mobile, or whatever app you are using? I don't know. If the buttons have ever done this, I have never seen that, it always works on my iPhone 5S

The problems I'm having are in the built-in Music app. You would think that Apple would make their own apps completely accessible with VoiceOver, but that's obviously not the case for some apps. And I hate the speed toggle button in the built-in Music app anyway...It should be an adjustable slider, not a 3 way toggle switch.
