Voiceover not reading words in reply field in messaging app

I'm using IOS9 and would like to know if anyone else has encountered the below Voiceover bug. I have reported it to apple accessability but they say they can't reproduce it and to contact apple care.

Voiceover will sometimes stop reading in the text field
in the messaging app where you type your reply. It will read the characters as I'm typing them but it won't read a word when I
press the space bar and when I double tap to go into the edit field
and swipe left and right to read a word at a time then all I hear is
a
clicking sound. I have to copy the text into the notes app etc and
make the
changes there then paste it back again.

I have noticed this exact behavior you've described. This seems to happen randomly, but I've found that a work around is to toggle voiceover off and back on again.

I've had the same behavior. I haven't been able to reproduce it consistently - has just popped up randomly once or twice. Also worth noting that when this behavior happens, VO won't read any cursor movement, whether you're reading by word, character, etc. For me, it also stops reading the letters as I type them when this happens.

Thanks for the feedback. Good to know I'm not the only one encountering the issue. May be worth dropping apple accessaiblity an email to let them know you are having this issue so they know more than one person is encountering this

I've experienced this issue in several text entry fields, not just Messages. It has happened in FB, YouTube and Notes as well. Irritating but temporarily resolved by restarting VO
