VoiceOver Issues with Latest Version of Trivia Crack

The latest version of Trivia Crack appears to be completely inaccessible. I can't even find my turn where the list of games are that I'm supposed to take my turn and it keeps kicking me out to the home screen. Thoughts?

I keep it around, just because I know some sighted people who use it. Love it or hate it, it's the most popular Trivia game out there.

Someone told me the app doesn't crash at all on the 6+. Does anyone have a 6+ and know if this is true?

OK, so, I don't know if they've released a new update recently, but, now, the game is crashing worse than it usually has been.

Anyone else experiencing this now?

Also, I am not going to spend money on a new phone just because Trivia Crack is no longer as accessible on older models. Nope. Not happening. Plus, the phone is too wide for my female hand span anyway. :p

Also, seems the developers just keep giving us lip service about correcting these issues on the rare occasion when they respond. I think we just need to keep after them. A squeaky wheel will eventually get fixed, as it were. Also, maybe a bit of Twitter shaming for those of us who are on there will do the trick. (I did this for Duolingo and it seems they finally addressed the accessibility issues.)

It's really odd. The app works most times on my iPhone 6, but it crashes on my room mate's. She just upgraded to a 6 and trivia crack was one of the first things she tried after getting all her apps re-installed. I have found that at least for me, if you keep your hands lower on the screen, and try to not touch the top too much that the app actually works. I know this doesn't make much sense, but that's what I've found. I think it has something to do with the introduction of these new cards they've been adding to the game. Something in the game doesn't act quite right with VoiceOver enabled. I've heard reports that people who aren't using VoiceOver have no problems with the game crashing at all. I'm hoping the issues can get fixed for sure.

Hi,

The latest version of Trivia Crack that was released today works well with Voiceover. I am using an iPhone 6 with IOS 9. The version as it says in the subject of my post is 2.22. I went back to version 2.16 and waited while they sorted themselves out. I am no longer booted out of the app when I touch the active games that I am waiting for.

Seems to work with 5S and IOS 8.1 as well. I hope they don't change it again.

Has anyone else experienced issues with the latest update of Trivia Crack? Since the recent update, when on a question, VoiceOver can no longer focus on the objects at the top of the page, usually the timer, category and something else I think. When you do a two-finger swipe up, focus lands on the question, and if you swipe to the right with one finger, you go through the answers.

Secondly, after a while, even the question disappears and all you get are the four choices and the power ups at the bottom.

Another glitch I've noticed too, when you spin and land on a crown, sometimes you have the choice to either select the option to play for a crown or a challenge, and sometimes, the game automatically chooses a crown and asks you immediately what category you would like to go for the crown.

It seems that this update broke more then it fixed. The only positive difference I've seen is that now it tells you if you have the correct answer and if you don't, then what the correct one was.

I am starting to dislike this game more and more everyday and am about to just remove it once and for all and permanently switch to Kingdoms. It seems that the developpers are more interested in maintaining Kingdoms then to maintain Trivia Crack. A long time ago, when you were at the main window where it lists the number of games you had, when you focus on a game, VoiceOver would read the opponent's name, how many crowns you each had and the round you were at. An update from a long time ago seemed to remove that and now all you hear is the opponent's name. I've written to the developpers suggesting to fix it as it's nice to have that information before opening the game and playing your turn. I never got any response from the developpers on any of my questions. They are one developer that is extremely difficult to get in touch with now. The only means to provide feedback, from what I can see, is through their Twitter handle.

I apologize to all for my rant, I am just disappointed on how a fun and exciting game that I used to love playing has gone downhill. If anyone knows of an e-mail for the developer, please let me know as I would love to send them an e-mail advising them of the recent glitches.

Thanks!

I have had the same issues with the latest build. I think I have some more information.

The jump to Crown, and bypassing of the Crown or Challenge is occurs when your opponent has no Crowns. In this case, it makes sense since if you did Challenge, you would be told you can't, and then have to select Crown.

It seems the problem where you cannot read the question occurs when switching from one opponent to another. In my experience, it's fine, until I end my turn in one game,, and switch to another. I have started shutting down the app between opponents, and have not had this issue. since

I do like the addition of the correct answer announcement.

I've also had the problems with Trivia Crack as described above. The occasional disappearance of the challenge doesn't bother me much, as I tend to prefer winning myself crowns: in fact I can see the logic of not allowing a challenge if the opponent has no crowns in the first place. As for not being able to read questions sometimes, I also noticed this when I play against a second or third opponent in the same session: I had considered closing the app and re-opening it between opponents, but haven't tried it at the time of writing this post, so I'm glad to here it should get rid of the unreadable questions issue. I'm also very pleased that we now get the same annoucement from VoiceOver of correct or incorrect answers which Trivia Crack Kingdoms has had for a while now, so that we no longer have to swipe up with two fingers in Trivia Crack to find the correct answer if we get questions wrong.

It makes sense for the game to auto select a crown if your opponent has none, never really noticed when it happened. Just noticed that sometimes it would give me the choice and others it would select it for me.

As for the questions, I hope they fix it soon as I liked being able to swipe up with two fingers and swipe to the right, passed the timer, to the question. Having the question disappears is kind of a bummer as you don't know which answer to choose.

I also wish that they'd fix the part on the main screen where we used to have a lot more information when viewing the list of current active games. Like I said earlier, VoiceOver use to read more then just the opponent's name, it used to read the round that you were at and how many crowns each player had.

With Kingdoms, anyone else having the issue to connecting their Facebook account to the game? Everytime I tried, I kept getting an error and just gave up.

Thanks!
