Hi,
I just realized that one of the reasons that I don't use Microsoft Word on my iPhone is that when I format text for sighted people, that VoiceOver does not speak the styles and font information, such as bold and italic. On the PC, with a more robust screen reader, such as NVDA, you can set it to read the names of Word styles, as you come across them, which gives you a better idea of the structure of your document.
I hope I'm missing something here.

Something I've noticed
I don't know if VoiceOver supports font styles or not.
A few times I've heard VoiceOver speak the font name and size of the text I'm on, however I have no idea what I did to get this to happen.
VO+T
The keyboard shortcut is VO+T, however, support seems to depend on the active application. I use Scrivener for writing, and VO+T tells me font, size, style, bold, italic, etc. It just works. If I use it in Safari, I just get the thunk noise. If I use it in MultiMarkdown Composer, I get font and style info, but nothing else. Frustrating.
