when you use siri, you get the high quality Susan Bennett voice, plus you can read the screen with VO. for turn-by-turn direction in maps, you only get the directions in VO voice, unless you turn VO off, in that case, you'll receive directions in the high quality voice. unfortunately, this also mean you can't read anything on the screen or operate the phone till you turn VO on again. i wonder why it has to be this way, especially i find the high quality voice easier to understand in noisy environment. whose have better connection ought to talk to Apple about this...

Well, I have reported the same issue to accessibility@apple.com. Perhaps if you do so too, we can have a better chance at making the high quality voice during maps while using voiceover a reality. Others should also chime in.
Hi well may be it's kind of hard to understand but I knew this for some app developer When you use Siri you are able to get high quality voice apple iOS 7 APIs use own voices on this cace talking about Maps. using voiceOver is diferent. The voice who use voiceOver is nothing to do with the APIs iOS voice guider who provide on Maps. ans as you know already Siri voices are nothing to do with voiceOver too. On this new iOS7 version the rules APIs has changed per example on iOS7 are you able to lock your iOS device and the apple maps app voice guider still is running on other words all the third party apps who used before some TTS voices on iOS7 are able to use apple own voices perhaps apple use some voice very similar at voiceOver, but you can't make any change on it this is apple default voice and this bring up many confusion using voiceOver on the same time. through the time apple own voices may be have more choices as male or female voice or make changes on the speach reader etcetera

well, i understand what you are saying, but in this case, the voice guider for maps is deliberately disabled when voiceover is running. in fact, if you locked your screen and have VO turned on, the vocal direction would stop. there is no reason as i can tell to disable the normal voice guider when voiceover is on, they can coexist just fine as demonstrated in siri application.
