voice over issue when using a Siri voice

I decided to try to use a Siri voice on my iPhone 13 pro today. Sometimes, I just get bored of the same old same. I'm however regretting this decision because of a strange issue. More often than not, it's as if voice over reboots, because I hear the voice say "Screen curtain on," which I do have mine on most of the time. Anyone else experiencing this odd behavior?

Sadly, the way to fix it is to delete content from your phone until your storage is less than 50% full. 40% full for me. It did fix the problem though. Alternatively, you could wait for iOS 17 and see if that fixes the problem. Theres also the option of installing the public beta of iOS 17 if you can’t wait for a fix. Good luck.

I am fairly certain this is one of the many (see: All kinds of a lot) problems with iOS 16. Anyway it sounds like a possible resource management issue. The above post kind of supports this theory at least.

I would advise trying out some other (non) Siri voices and see how it goes.

I had been using elloquence and just decided to go for a different flavor. Guess said flavor will not be Siri. Figures, I like the voice I'd picked. Oh well.

Use Tome and no issues with 13 pro. However I never use screen curtain.
