iOS and iPadOS

Hi all, I've got a problem with my IPhone. One minute I was browsing through Safari, and the next Voiceover stopped working. I've turned the volume all the way up, and I've tried touching with 3 fingers to mute and unmute VO, and I've used Siri to turn Voiceover off and on again but nothing has worked. I've got an IPhone SE2, and as far as I know, I've installed the latest IOS update.

I've tried holding the home and lock screen buttons in to reset the phone, and I've tried turning it off and on again

Have you tried the following:
1, Activate Siri and turn VO on (This step is just to make sure VO is turned on)
2, Press the Home Button once so that you exit the Siri screen
3, Start flicking 1 finger on the screen as if you were moving to different app icons, flick both forward and backwards to make sure VO have something to say
4, As you flick around press volume up a few times.

At times my VO-volume goes to 0, and the only way I can increase it is by turning the volume up while VO is actively saying stuff.

Edit: If you have pressed the volume up button 6-8 times during the steps above, if VO is still silent try the 3 finger double-tap to see if the volume was at 0 and VO muted at the same time.

Hope this helps

Tristan, Try the three-finger double tap . This turns speech on or off.

For me is the following. Using iPad 9 gen and my issues is that I am using beta and use Siri to restart iPad. No voiceover nothing. Use Siri to turn it on and nothing. Also push volume up and slide to hear something and nothing. I know is on because when I plug cable, I hear the tone you get when charging it. Help.

What is the version of iOS on the SE?

For the other person who is running the beta, the only way out of the situation you are in is with a braille display. If you do not have one, you will need sighted assistance to get VO to speak again. What is happening is the voice somehow got deleted so iOS needs to download it again. I would recommend setting up another language profile with a different voice to get you out of that.
