I have an iPhone 4, and I was wondering if I could take a file from pages on my iPhone and upload it using the dropbox app, or will I have to do such uploads from my Mac?
Hi Riley
Unfortunately there is no way to upload a file from Pages to Dropbox on the IPhone. I had this quandery a couple of weeks ago. My workaround was to link my dropbox to www.sendtodropbox.com This will give you a unique email address and you can then email your files to dropbox. A folder is created in your dropbox account called attachments and you will find the files in there.
Hope this helps
The interface in all the text editors that I've tried so far just opens an email message with the subject and body fields populated with the fine's name and the text in the file itself, respectively. It doesn't email the note as an attachment, like I thought it would. Doesn't Send to Dropbox need things to be emailed as .txt or .rtf attachments in order to be able to put the files into your attachments folder?
Here's what I want to be able to do with Send to Dropbox:
1. Create a .rtf file with pages.
2. Email that file to Dropbox using Send to Dropbox.
3. Open the file in Pages again and make changes to it.
4. Email the changed file to Dropbox using Send to Dropbox again.
Is this at all possible?
Thanks,
Shersey
