in prior versions of iOS, the search bar in applications usually appeared at the top of the screen and status at the bottom. For example, the native iOS mail app, you could hold your finger toward the bottom of the screen to check if messages were being downloaded, the inbox was updated etc., and you would find the search box up at the top of the mail app. As of iOS 26, that seems totally flipped, with the search box at the bottom of apps and the status bar near the top, and I don’t like it. Is there a way to revert these elements to how they were in iOS 18 and prior?
