Two finger double tap activating music accidentally very frequently

I’m finding that the two finger double tap is activating my music unintentionally. It often happens when I am ending dictation or hanging up a phone call. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?
This is a very frustrating problem for sure. Like you, I seem to have this happen when I'm trying to end dictation. At least it's an improvement over my iPhone 13 pro's old behavior of interpreting almost everything as the magic tap and just starting music when I was opening apps and stuff. I really hope that Apple fixes this pesky bug, along with all of the other annoying issues I seem to be dealing with on an almost daily basis, soon.. Let's hope for better things in iOS 16.2.
I've had the two finger double tap activate not only music, but any app I've been using to listen with for the last few years. It happens with bard Mobile, stream to Me, Music, audible, you name it.
I agree with Steve. This is not something new. Just yesterday, I went back in to Peacock to finish watching a show. And the two-finger double tap started playing music instead of the program. So I started the show by activating the Play button.
On my iPhone 10s running IOS 16.1 what happens is nothing. The two finger double tap doesn't cause anything to happen.
I have found that to get rid of music playing every time I two finger double tap, it sometimes also helps to open the audible app, get it to play something for a second, stop playback, and close all apps. When all else fails, that always works for me.
Thanks for all the comments. I know this has been going on for a long time, it just seems to have gotten worse with 16.1. Hopefully it's improved at some point.
The problem with this gesture is that it means too many different things depending on where you are and what you're doing but it's not always obvious to the user. For example, Facebook brings up a menu if you use that gesture when you're flicking past posts in the timeline. Ironically, I often end up with the opposite problem, getting dictation when I don't want it because I forget or don't realise I'm in a text box when I use it.
The problem with the Peacock app is most likely that it's a non-standard player and the author simply hasn't implemented the magic tap gesture.
Unfortunately, the magic in magic tap appears to be that the user can never be entirely positive what'll happen when they use it.

I started noticing it in iOS 15.
That's not really new.
