Amazon has shipped my new fifth generation iPod Touch. Since this is the first Apple anything I have ever owned, how do I get started? Are there detailed tutorials on how to set up the new Touch? If not, would anyone be willing to tutor me?

A user guide for the iPod Touch can be accessed from Safari. However, if you are unfamiliar with VoiceOver gestures, it may prove to be more difficult. In any case, I will list the steps for navigating to the user guide, and I will give you the link to a website that will hopefully be useful. Before opening the user guide, make sure you have VoiceOver turned on. You can do this through iTunes by locating the option that says "configure universal access," or by opening the settings menu and going to "general," "accessibility," an "VoiceOver." From there, you can enable VoiceOver, and a male or female voice should issue from the speaker. If you don't have vision to see the screen, you may have to have someone assist you with these steps. If you've enabled VoiceOver, press the home button and flick to the right with one finger until you hear Safari. You can also touch the middle lower portion of the screen to navigate to the app. Once you land on Safari, tap twice with one finger. After Safari opens, flick to the right until you hear "bookmarks." Tap twice on this option with one finger, and flick to the right until you hear VoiceOver say, "iPod user guide" or a phrase that's close to that phrase. (I use an iPhone, so I don't know what it'll say for iPods.) Double-tap that option, and it will ask you to double-tap if you are a VoiceOver user. Just tap twice, and you should be able to navigate it without issues. Here are the websites for navigating to the instructions for the iPod: http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/ The latter website opens a PDF document, therefore you need to make sure you have Adobe in order to read it successfully. If you are still having trouble, I could try to teach you via Skype or e-mail, if you'd like. I hope this helps.
