Hi all.
Do we have an app that generates tones? Preferably in multiple octaves, continuous, but some sort of nice sound like an organ or something? I have instruments that Talking Tuner won't pick up, and the small Korg tuner I have that does generate tones generates an annoying beeping noise.
It makes my head hurt after a while, so it gets pretty limited usage. This is a problem when you're tuning, say, a small 19-string harp you just bought that needs a ton of retuning until the strings stretch in. I got through the first octave just now, and joy of joys, I have a headache because of it.
There has got to be a better solution. Talking Tuner is great when it picks things up. I've tried INSTuner or whatever it's called, and that wasn't accessible, as far as I can tell. I know there's another one, something about Energy, that you pay for, but I didn't see whether it generated tones or not and if you could control them.
I assume there could be others I don't even know about, but somebody here probably does. Extra bonus points if you can do weird things like Pythagorean temperament or Baroque pitch, A=415, and so on. Really the more options the better. Now that I'm getting away from fixed instruments like guitar and into stuff like harp that you can tune in various ways, it would be cool to have something accessible that let's me do that.
I am seriously considering smashing this Korg tuner with a hammer right now. My whole head and face hurt. I had a much more expensive Korg tuner at one time that could do a lot of this kind of thing, but it wasn't particularly accessible, naturally. So I'm hoping there's a really good app for the phone, now that I can actually experiment with weird string tunings.

there is an app called metronome
it's free, and you can adjust it based on notes, and adjusted to any frequency you like. You can download it here.
it is accessible
