Trouble with YouTube on iOS

Is anyone else having issues with the YouTube app for iOS? I’ve been using it on both my iPhone 11 and my iPad mini six generation, and I’m having issues finding the send button to post comments. It will on my iPhone 11 if I turn on screen recognition, but I don’t see the add comment button on the iPad. On top of that, I no longer see the option to expand the description on YouTube videos. That’s usually where whoever posted the video has different links listed that have to do with their channel and such. I have the latest update for YouTube on both devices. Any help would be genuinely appreciate it. I’m not sure if it’s a genuine problem or if I’m missing something.

Hi Tiffani, the send comment button is still in the same place. As far as the description menu, it's now just expands if you double tap, once focus field is on the video description. They did a whole re-do within the past few days. Because they also have full ad banners directly under the videos. According to my sighted spouse. I have been lost as of recent too on YouTube on my 12 pro.

I am having trouble myself. I can't seem to find where you can add a comment. I am able to read comments, but I am not able to add one myself.

Hello,
It took me a bit to find out where to find the description now when the app made its changes. There is a full screen button and right past that is the videos title. If you double tap on the title of the video it brings up the description now. If you listen to the whole title you will hear more… at the end. This is what clued me in on how to find the description.

Unless YouTube has gone and screwed everything up, which we all know never happens, if you tap on the comments right after the channel name, the list of previous comments should pop up. There should be an "add comment" button at the bottom of the screen. If you cannot find it by touching and exploring, try a four-finger tap at the bottom of the screen and see if that helps. It has worked for me, although I probably just jinxed myself.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll definitely give it a try and see what happens.
