Hi all!
Hope you all had a good holiday!

Well, I'm thinking about putting a password manager on my knew ipad. But, I have some questions. Both about password managers in general, & 1 I'm considering using, LastPass. And I'm hoping you all can help me by answering @ least some of them.

questions about password managers in general

1. In general, have you found that password managers are accessible?
2. How easy are they to use?
3. I have passwords entered into my knew ipad. Will the password auto fill enterfere with a password manager's auto fill function? What I'm saying is, will the auto-filling on the ipad, interfere with the passwords auto-filling capability?

4. Do you have 2 use 2-factor authentication, is it a requirement? I ask because I do not have a phone, so that's not an option.
6. Will a password manager import passwords I have entered on my knew ipad?

questions about LastPass

1. How accessible have you found LastPass to be?
2. How easy have you found it to use?
3. Is using 2-factor authentication a requirement for LastPass? I ask, because I do not have a phone, so I don't have that option. I do have touch-Id.
3. Can LastPass auto-fill in passwords for apps/sites?
4. Will LastPass import any passwords I already have entered on my new ipad?
5. will LastPass's auto-fill capability interfere with the Ipad's auto-fill capability?

Finally, if LastPass isn't accessible, can you recommend me something similar? I chose LastPass because it was free & there was no required subscription fee. And from the app entry I read on here, it seemed accessible. But I also know that the accessibility of apps can change quite a bit over time, as they update.

Any help you can give would be appreciated. And I may have more questions later on. Thank you in advance! And I hope you all have a happy new year!

Hi,

I am a LastPass user myself. I find the app accessible with voiceover. The LastPass app will not interfere with iCloud Keychain. You can use both on the iPad. You may have to add login and passwords for each site individually into the LastPass app. Once you setup your LastPass login and master password, you can use LastPass to login to all websites and applications that you have a website login with. I have not had any issues with the App. I hope that this information is helpful to you.

It is. Is 2-factor authentication a requirement? Also, I seen something called last pass authenticator. Do I need that? Should I use it/consider using it? What exactly is it?
Putting them in indiviually will suck, but @ least if I have to transfer devices, or something else, I'll have it. Because I have passwords on my ipad, but I can't use Keychain to transfer them over from the old to the knew. Since I don't have the ability 2 use 2-factor authentication. Thank you!

Also, this may seem like a dumb question, but do I go to the LastPass app, & click on the site/app I'd like to log into? Or do I just go to the app/site like normal?
Like I said, I know it's probably a dumb question. But I'm wondering.

While LastPass is quite capable and accessible, Apple’s integrated manager works quite well. Creating, as well as making sure that you aren’t reusing. My experience has shown it creates long and complex passwords.

1 Password is awesome! It's free and totally accessible. I'm using it on an iPhone though, so I guess I can't say if it's the same for iPad. It's very easy to use, works along with Keychain, and doesn't require 2 factor authentication. I've never tried to import passwords so I don't know about that. There is a pro version that is paid, but I haven't tried that either. The free version is good enough for me. However, I also agree with the person that said Keychain is good. I started using 1 Password before that, which is why Keychain isn't primary for me. Oh yeah, and as for using your passwords - you can access a browser through the 1 Password app by activating the link you provide for that password, or you can go through your regular browser and it will give you the option to autofill your password with 1 Password. HTH!

I'm a LastPass user. I'll try to answer your questions one by one:
1. In general, have you found that password managers are accessible? I use LastPass, which is mostly accessible.
2. How easy are they to use? Its easy to use
3. I have passwords entered into my knew ipad. Will the password auto fill enterfere with a password manager's auto fill function? What I'm saying is, will the auto-filling on the ipad, interfere with the passwords auto-filling capability? No, it won't. See, when you install lastPass, you can select either KeyChain or LastPass as your preferred option for password auto filling by going into settings > passwords and accounts > autofill passwords.
4. Do you have 2 use 2-factor authentication, is it a requirement? I ask because I do not have a phone, so that's not an option. Its not required.
6. Will a password manager import passwords I have entered on my knew ipad? Not sure

questions about LastPass

1. How accessible have you found LastPass to be? Its iOS app is very much accessible however, its Chrome extention has some minor accessibility issues.
2. How easy have you found it to use? its a subjective question.
3. Is using 2-factor authentication a requirement for LastPass? I ask, because I do not have a phone, so I don't have that option. I do have touch-Id. already answered.
3. Can LastPass auto-fill in passwords for apps/sites? of course yes.
4. Will LastPass import any passwords I already have entered on my new ipad? Not sure
5. will LastPass's auto-fill capability interfere with the Ipad's auto-fill capability? No.
