is there a secret to making messenger behave?

I just struggled to post a message on messenger using my SE phone. First, AI tried to stick its nose in and think that it knows best. Then, there seemed to be blank spots instead of labeled buttons, so I had trouble finding the send button. I don’t use messenger very much, and I’m not sure I will want to do it again.

Check for a podcast on using it. For me is very easy to use. I also use siri to send messages as audio and asking siri to send message by telling her what I want to say.

I don't have an IPhone 16 so don't know if this wil help but here you go: Open Settings ➡️ Apple Intelligence & Siri: ➡️ Apple Intelligence: Set this switch to OFF.

You mentioned "Messenger," so I’m going to assume you’re referring to Facebook Messenger, not Apple’s Messages app.

That app can be a bit tricky to use. Swiping doesn’t behave as expected—it tends to jump around a lot, making navigation frustrating.

The most reliable way I’ve found to get around is by using explore-by-touch. When I’m writing a message, I usually locate the send button by exploring the screen—it’s often somewhere near where the letter “P” would be on the keyboard.

Personally, I try to avoid using Messenger when I can. It’s definitely usable, but very fiddly and not a great experience overall.

sorry, I should have specified more clearly. Thank you, cool – Turk, for your info. I agree that I will stay away from messenger as much as possible.

I thought you meant messages, silly me. I've not used messanger in years so have no idea how it behaves.

Isn't it interesting how our brains can hear a thing and go, oh yeah! I know that one! and get it completely wrong? Human brains are funny sometimes.
