Hello everyone,
I hope this is the right forum for this. I am using a windows Vista machine given to me by a friend. They had previously installed iTunes on it and had made multiple purchases at the iTunes store. Well, I want to sync my iPhone 5S to the computer, but it wants me to put all my friend's stuff on my phone. My phone, for one thing, couldn't handle all that, even if, for a second thing, I wanted all that on my phone. So, my question is this: do I have to uninstall iTunes and do a completely new installation? If so, how do I make sure my friend's old stuff is gone and won't try to sync on to my phone. Thanks in advance.

Delete your friend's old library first
Hi,
Simply reinstalling iTunes will not work. You can do one of two things. Probably the easiest would be to create a new user account on the PC, log into that account, and then sign into the iTunes store with your Apple ID before syncing with your iPhone.
The other way to do this involves deleting both the iTunes folder from your friend's music folder and the iTunes application data from your friend's Windows user profile. This is more advanced than simply creating a new user account on the PC, and I would not recommend doing it unless you know what you are doing.
Hope that helps!

Worse than I thought!
Okay, the situation is worse than I thought. At the very least, more convaluted. It isn't this computer that is the problem. It's the fact that, when I originally got the iPhone, I plugged it into her computer (mine was without internet) to register it. So, it wants to sync with her computer, not the one I am on. Same process as described above? I'm advanced enough I can handle it.
