Swipe up to unlock

Hi. On iPhone 16 pro max, latest OS. When touch the display to wake, I swipe once to the right and get "swipe up to unlock". If I keep swiping I'll get show notifications flashlight and camera. Of course this is after the time is spoken first. How can I stop swipe up to unlock? The voice Over hints are turned off and I restarted jus to make sure the settings took effect. Any ideas here? It's just info I really don't want or need. Thanks

For example, on my iPhone SE 2022, it says press home to unlock, and this is a button. Nothing I can do to get rid of that, even though it's quite obvious that pressing home will unlock the phone.

First off, I now know how you and my ex managed to emoji the heck outta me. Hitting the function key twice brings up the emoji list after you write something. second, I fixed it. Turning off raise to wake, always on display and setting the screen brightness to zero percent seems to have fixed it. Wonder if it works on your SE.

Raised weight is already turned off. Always on display is not a feature on my particular iPhone model, however I have not tried the display at 0%. Other than when I use screen curtain, of course. It's something I'll have to play around with and see what happens.
Regarding emojis, don't pretend you don't love them! 🫣😝πŸ₯ΈβœŒοΈ

Was going to suggest that. Nuts. That was going to be my present to you.

Your kindness is present enough. :) I hope I help where I can.

You might want to restart the device, keeping it off for probably a minute or so. I'm sure you might have told siri to do it and of course, I don't think that lets the computer fully shut down and reboot when you want. Hope this made some sense, up to early.
