I seem to spend a long time searching for the send button when I want to send a text or email. I know practice will make me quicker, but I just wondered if there was a swipe gesture instead that would send the text and/or email?
also, is there a code word to dictate upper case characters and words?
thanks. Dee

dictation
If you say the word capital or upper case followed by the letter quickly afterwards, it should capitalize the letter for you. As for the send button, I know of no quick swipe gesture to make sending posts or emails faster. Sorry bout that.
here's something to try
Hello and welcome to AppleVis! Here's something you can try. Theres no swipe gesture to send a post, text or email. But I do have a way that could make your life easier. Go down where your space bar is and go to the right until you see hid keyboard button. Double tap on that and the buttons for what to do with whatever you're sending will fill up your screen.
As for dictation, I have my keyboard set to automatically capitalize beginnings of sentences. You can find this in your keyboard settings. But honestly, what I do is I switch off dictation and hit shift then resume dictation. Hope this helps, and good luck.
Send Button
To get to the send button while texting I go to p and then go up. The send button in messages is usually right above the P.
You can swipe to the right to send a text
Using the built-in message app on both iPhone and iPad I can swipe to the right from the message text area and that lands me on the send button. Its way easier than locating the send button by feeling around. Just touch inside the area where you typed your message then swipe to the right. You will hear Voiceover say send , tap twice and off it goes.
Swiping & Dictation
Many thanks to Erika, Dawn, JeffB & Betsy for all your tips on alternative ways of sending & upper case dictation. I'll give all your tips a try. Cheers! Debbie
