Suddenly Lost Eloquence Community Dictionary

Hi everyone,

I'm on an iPhone 12 Mini with IOS 17.4.1 and Eloquence Reed. After watching a YouTube video with speech off, I noticed that my punctuation seemed to be set to all, even though it said off. I initially thought I must have activated this by mistake from Quick Settings, but VO was still reading all punctuation until I triple-clicked the side button. However, I also seem to have lost the community dictionary for all Eloquence voices. Neither toggling the setting, nor restoring voice defaults, nor toggling VO through the triple click and through Settings, nor a restart of the phone have fixed this. Very annoying! Does anyone have any suggestions for other things to try?

Thanks in advance,
Daniel

I'm on the 17.5 beta and not experiencing this.

Interesting. I did not experience this until a few hours ago, and I've been on 17.4.1 for quite a while. Could it be something unrelated to the software version? I imagine it's some glitch I don't know how to reset. Nonetheless I may see if updating solves it.

You did everything I was going to recommend. The beta is pretty of course I'll include what I consider pretty stable and what you consider stable may differ. so test at your own risk :) That havven been said I do think we need more blind people testing betas and providing feedback.

I can confirm that updating to the beta did not resolve the issue.

A reset of all settings (not erasing content) seems to have resolved it. How weird!
