Hi Everybody. So I'm not sure if this is a bug or just me not having a setting set properly which is contributing to some weirdness, but I'm hoping you guys can give me a hand. Here's the situation:
I'm running Voiceover with ios 16.0.2 on my iphone 14 Pro Max, and if I launch the TV app and try to play any apple original, the media plays fine. My video opens in what I'm assuming is fullscreen (the only interactable element on the entire screen is a video box at least). When I find the video element by touch VO speaks "Video, double tap to toggle controls", which is the standard message when you run across a video anywhere else in the system. However, if I then 1-finger double tap the element it pauses my video, and shows my controls at the bottom. I don't really want the video to pause every single time I pull up the control bar. Sometimes I just want to check the remaining time or rewind for a few seconds. Don't really need the video to completely stop for that.
Anyway, that's the deal. I haven't tested this much on older iphones I've owned, so can't verify whether this happened before my upgrade. Although some other people I've talked to with iphones don't seem to have this problem, but they're still running ios 15, so that could also be something. So my main question here is is this happening to any of you guys whether or not on a 14 Pro Max with ios 16? I'm really hoping there's a simple settings tweak, but if this is just the way things are now I suppose I can live with it, but I will complain loudly, and at great length.

Hi, I am using iPhone 13 pro and encountering this issue.
I think that this is a bug on iOS 16.
I didn't encountered this before.
