Hi everyone a very belated happy New Year to all :-) I know that twitterific has been discontinued because I checked the icon factories blog just now. When I tried to log into Spring on macOS it told me that my account details needed updating. I tried to remove and re-add the account but this didn't work. Is Spring down across both Mac and iOS? And if it is what apps would people recommend instead? Thank you very much everyone :-)

At this point, 3rd-party twitter clients are effectively dead. We'll have to use the website or the official app.

From what I understand, Twitter has banned all third-party clients from accessing their system. Twitter only wants users to use the Twitter apps or the Twitter website.

I'm sure there's a way to get around it for these 3rd party apps.

Scrape the website or something.

Of course the API would make things easier, but since twitter is killing 3rd party apps, scraping the website is probably your next bet.

Kodi addons do it all the time.

Thereis a way to get it up and running. . Just email the app developer and he will email you back with instructions to make the app function again. Be ware that the process is pretty involved.

Quite frankly, I got so dad gum sick and tired of the sensorship being put on Twitter, and Elon clearly being a full dictator, ahim ahim? That I finally just went over to Mastodon using the native client on iOS which is totally Voiceover friendly, and frankly, provided I can get some people following me up there, I'll probably never look back! My handle is: jaztr@masterdon.social in case anyone wants to follow me.

Also, I tried the instructions to get Spring to work. It's not worth your time, believe me! I tried, and even then, it didn't work, and trust me, I used to work the I.T industry, so believe you me when I say, I didn't do anything wrong. I know what I'm doing, and reading/following documentation is no stranger at all to me. You've gotta kind of be good at that when you're managing the main server for a large corporation company. I'm not at liberty to say any more than that, but, um, yeah...
