Hi,

I have had both Headphones and by the time I have played with the apps neither of them was accessible. That said it honestly doesn‘t really matter. You don‘t choose headphones for their app but for the sound they provide.

I‘d urge you to try them out before you come to a conclusion.

For me it is pretty clear which ones sound better but the only one who should make that decision for you is you yourself.

It's pretty accessible but the only irritating thing is that the equalizer settings are not. I can adjust the base but not the mids or highs.

The Bose QC35 are the best headphones I ever owned and the app is accessible.

Subject: Sony Headphones Connect app - *NOT* VoiceOver Accessible to Blind
To: <APO-USA@am.sony.com>

Hi,

I pre-ordered the WF-1000XM3 (earbuds), but found out that I couldn't setup it up using the Sony Headphones Connect app as I'm blind and use VoiceOver. I had to ask for wife who is sighted to assist (I should be able to do it independently, like with Apple AirPods or Bose NCH 700 or QC-35).

A friend who is low vision and uses VoiceOVer as well got the WH-1000XM3 (headphones) and wasn't able to setup it up using the app as well. Controls are either unlabeled, cannot be focused/activated, not modal, etc. Apple has great Accessibility resources on how to make your app accessible.

Thanks!

I don't have a problem using the headphones connect app, except for the EQ. Sure, some controls are weirdly labeled, but it's not the worst app I've tried. I have the WH-1000XM3, and am very happy with them.

Hi all, i now have these headphones very happy with them, but how do i adjust ambient sound control effectively? I can adjust the slider for how much outside noise i want for "istting" or "staying" where i am located, but how can i select for "walking" "transport" etc? also if i turn off ambient sound control on the headphones, does that mean the headphones are in passive mode? boving these, just received them today. Took me a while to work out how they fold in the case but very very happy with them.
