Hello, friends!
It's been a while since I've been here, but I'd like to ask you about a behavior that has been bothering me for a while now on iOS.
I believe that everyone who has been using iOS for a few years has noticed that, when using the open applications selector, some applications are indicated as active, that is, they are still open, while others do not show this status, which shows that they are suspended. In fact, Apple itself recommends that, unless there is some problem with overheating or slowness, applications should not be forcibly closed.
Well, what bothers me is the fact that an application that I just opened is suspended so briefly by iOS, while others that I don't want to actively use and that were opened a long time ago continue to work. A practical example: I open the Uber app and look up the price of a trip from point a to point b, then I go on to other tasks on the iPhone, enter and exit other applications, leaving Uber forgotten. Hours later, I open the YouTube app, go to a channel whose content I like, open one of the playlists and start a video. For some reason, I need to do a few more small tasks, like reading and responding to notifications, but when I try to go back to YouTube, the app is back on its home page and has closed the list I had opened, while Uber continues to display the prices for that trip I searched for that morning.
I'm sure the problem is with the iOS system, since the behavior is present even with native apps. Furthermore, considering that I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max which, despite not being the most recent iPhone, is very well served by its 4 GB of RAM if we consider the nature of the iOS system. It's also important to say that I don't use beta versions of iOS, since this is my main phone.
Therefore, I want to read your thoughts about this annoyance that the iPhone causes me.
Big hug
