Some keystrokes on IPhone disappearing and reappearing while using keyboards

So I am using my phone with a bluetooth keyboard which is working great except for the fact that some keystrokes come and go that are universal. Like the ones for switching apps. This sometimes works correctly but now, it doesn’t work. Sometimes it helps restarting the phone but I don’t feel like restarting ten times on one day as this doesn’t always work.

Because quick nav messes up a *lot* of things. On either Mac or iOS I use it as little as possible, mostly for the web for single letter navigation, and very occasionally in something like a DAW, e.g. if I'm going to have to scroll a lot with the arrows to get to presets, although I usually only do it if I'm browsing newstuff.

Also, why not just use the app switcher? Obviously semi-functional commands are an issue that I think should be fixed, either by Apple or just figuring out what's going on. But you can switch apps with basic VO keyboard stuff, VO-h twice quickly to get to the app switcher, then normal navigation to pick an app or change to the close option or whatever.

For me, some of the gestures will work for me sometimes, and sometimes not, e.g. the three finger swipe left or right to change pages on the home screen. So sometimes it's just simpler to hit the dock or near the bottom of the screen to get to search and just slide up with a finger. That's because of me BTW, not an Apple issue. So I just feel like sometimes it's easier to just do something I know works than to fight with whatever's going on at any given moment.

I am using a bluetooth keyboard and the weird thing is that sometimes, sometimes, it works but other times I can’t get it to do it at all. I could try to reassign them but don’t know if that would make a difference.

It is toggled on and off by pressing the left and right arrow keys at the same time. If quick nav is on, your keyboard will function very differently than when it is off.

The problem was that I am using a Swedish keyboard and that means some keys are different and so the shortcut did not work. Now I have reassigned the commands and it works flawlessly.
