Siri using low quality voice

Hi everyone, Today I upgraded from an iPhone 4 to a 5C, so this is my first device with Siri. I am finding that her voice sounds more like a computer than the high quality one in iOS 7. In other words, it sounds like it did prior to iOS 7. Here's what I've done so far to try to get the high quality voice: 1. Restarted Siri, and 2. Rebooted my phone. Does anyone have ideas on why I'm getting a computer sounding Siri? Thanks

First, make sure that Siri is turned on in the setttings (settings, general, Siri). Next, make sure you choose the gender of the voice you prefer. And finally, try it again. Keep in mind that the higher quality Siri voices work only with Siri, and not with the rest of the iPhone components, i.e. Voiceover. Hope this helps.

Your phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi for a few hours. The higher quality voice will eventually show up all by itself. Mine took about 2 days to acquire the HQ male siri voice, but it's working great now. So, just plug in your phone over night, be sure you're connected to wifi, and you should be all set.
Thanks! My phone was set up at the AT&T store without wifi, so maybe that's why I wasn't getting the HQ voices. If they don't show up after a few days, I may have to do a restore.

So are you trying to get the high quality Voiceover voice? The Siri voice is already installed on your phone as it comes that way, but it will only work with Siri, not Voiceover. Are you getting the two confused, or am I just on another planet? smile

The Voiceover voice installed with no problems, but both male and female Siri voices sounds a bit robotic.

Hello, Any of you know how to speed the voice feedback of siri up? I would really like to do this but am unsure how. IOS 7.0.2 with an I-Phone 5s.

Hi. I have been having the same problem as the original poster. I have friends with IOS 7 who's voices sound more human than mine. I've tried to switch to the male voice and switch back to the female voice and leave my phone connected for a few hours but that doesn't do anything. I tried turning off siri and turning it back on, but again, that did nothing at all. I'm running out of ideas and restoring my phone is not an option for me at this point. If there isn't another way then I guess I'll just have to deal with it, but I really want to use this high quality voice.

No. You don't need a restore. I figured it out on my phone, how to force to download the hq voice. 1. Make shure you are plugged in and connected to wifi. 2. Go to siri settings. 3. Change the siri language to something else. 4. Now change it back to US english. 5. Wait for a while, depending on the connection speed, with my fast connection it took 5 minutes, but it can be more, up to an hour.
