SIRI and Contacts

For the last two or three weeks, SIRI won't access many of my contacts on my IPhone 4S running OS6. I am known to her as Knobman. If I ask her to "call home," I hear a clicking sound for several seconds; then she says, "I don't have a number for home, Knobman." I have carefully examined the Home contact in the contacts system; I know that Home has no typos and that the "other phone" number is absolutely correct (Home goes to a land line - not amobile phone). Several of my other contacts show bizarre behavior. If I ask her to "call Lind Carol," (that is the nickname for our other land line), I hear ticking for several seconds; then she might say, "I'm sorry, I cannot help you. Pleae try later." If I give SIRI the digits for any number, she will dial the number reliably. I have powered the phone off and brought it back on - with no improvement.

There is another "funny" here which may or may not be relevant: When I try to access ITunes to buy a song, I get to the ID field where my ID is already there. When I go to the password field, SIRI indicates "security" "Password" and "is editing." But I cannot get anything entered there. If I double-tap the screen, SIRI will tell me that the cursor is either at the beginning or end of the line. Also, when I feel around on the screen, there are no letters which I can find there.

The most radical thing that comes to my mind next - and I am rather loath to do it - is to gointo Settings, turn off SIRI, and start her over. But I understand that such a move is costly in that I would "throw away" all the "trainign" which SIRI now has. Should I go that far, or is it time to take my IPhone to the Apple store under an appointment with the Genius Bar to fix it for me? This problem really has me "buffaloed," especially with the "SIRI/contacts misbehavior" and the apparent inoperability of the ITunes login function for me. This is weird! I will appreciate any insight and wisdom from this group. By the way, I do not plan to load OS7 until it has been "shook out" a bit better. I hope I can get the phone to quit "bugging me" about loadint OS7 every time I try to make a call. Thanks for any help you can provide.
