Siri Command Glitch with Contacts

Hi.

When using Siri to send a text or to call a contact, I seem to get stuck in a loop sometimes. So, I might say, "Call John" and Siri responds with, "John Tel 1 or email?2 Responding with "Tel 1" or "Home" or "Mobile" still results in the same Siri response. This however, does not happen if I already have a text from John in my inbox, in which case it sets up the text reply without issue.

Any pointers as to why this happens?

Thanks,

Matt

I don't have a good answer as to why this happens, apart from it's probably a bug. However, I can suggest this; when you get in a situation where it's giving you the various choices, if you simply respond with "the first one" or the "the second one" or whichever option it is that you are wanting to select, Siri will get out of that loop and proceed with the action that you had initially asked it to perform. Hope this helps.

Hi Samuel.

Have tried that and it doesn't work unfortunately.

I encounter a loop like this, but it has nothing to do with contacts. Often it has to do with calling a local business. Here's a typical dialog:

Me: "Call Blackjack Pizza."
SiRI: "I found one option, Blackjack Pizza on Briggs St. It has a 4-star rating. Would you like to call or get directions?"
Me: "Call."
SIRI: "Who would you like to call?"
Me: "Blackjack Pizza on Briggs St."
SIRI: "I found one option, Blackjack Pizza on Briggs St. It has a 4-star rating. Would you like to call or get directions?"
Me: (Bands head on desk.)

I sure would like to see this problem resolved.
