Simple Recording and Playback App for iPod Touch

I'm looking for an app that loads quickly. I don't need to be able to edit with it. All I want to do is record, and then play the recording back with the ability to rewind, fast forward, and play at slow speeds without changing the pitch. Can one record very well with an iPod Touch 5th Generation, or does one need to connect an external mic to it, as is the case with the ClearRecorder app? I've noticed too that the Voice Memo app doesn't come with the iPod. Thanks!

I am pretty shure the voice memos app is there. Try spotlight search or siri to find it if you can't find it on the home screen.
Hi Jakob. Thanks, I found the app under "Utilities" on my iPod. Does that app have playback capabilities, and if so, can you rewind and fast forward? Thanks a bunch!

Hi. The voice memos app is located in the utilities folder on the ipod touch, and it does have playback capabilities. You can use the percentage slider to select your place in the file, and there is a feature to trim the ends of the recording. By doubletapping the more info button next to each recording, you are given the option to delete the recording or share it via email or text message. Also, if you sync your ipod to your computer, the voice memos are automatically transferred to your computer via itunes. Another simple recording app that might interest you is dropvox. It has no playback feature, it simply records, then immediately uploads the recording to your dropbox account.. I think its $2.99 in the app store. I use dropvox for most of the recording I need to do in my ipod touch.
